Know every energy bill is right

TradeFlux recomputes Eskom, municipal and trader charges from your meter data and flags every difference before you pay.

Replaying

Generation follows the contracted profile through the morning. Between 13:00 and 14:30 metered output falls below contract, which is flagged for review. Use the left and right arrow keys to step through intervals.

The market is opening faster than anyone can check the bills

Every wheeling deal adds a meter, a tariff and a counterparty. Credits come back from Eskom, municipalities and traders, each worked out their own way, and few finance teams have time to check them line by line.

TradeFlux gives you an independent number to check every bill, credit and statement against.

One engine, built on your meter data and your tariffs

Bill and statement verification

TradeFlux works out what each connection should have been charged or credited per TOU period, then lines it up with the bill so differences stand out.

Wheeling allocation

Split one generator’s output across many offtakers by share or priority, capped at what each site used, with losses applied once. The credits it produces feed straight into verification.

Next on the roadmap

Tariffs, modelled exactly

Start from Eskom templates or build your own seasons, TOU bands, demand and fixed charges. A new tariff year is a new version, so history stays intact.

Sample Megaflex tariff, 2026/27 version, with weekday and Saturday TOU schedules for the high and low demand seasons and energy rates per period.

For everyone who pays, earns or passes on energy credits

If wheeled power or a TOU tariff touches your business, there is a bill or a statement worth checking.

Licensed electricity traders

Reconcile generator output against every offtaker account across Eskom and municipal tariffs, then check the credits that come back.

Every offtaker, every credit

Generators selling to several buyers

See what each trader or offtaker should pay you per TOU period, and catch shortfalls before you invoice.

Expected revenue per offtaker

Multi-site energy buyers

Check Eskom, municipal and trader charges across all your sites against your own meter data, not the number printed on the bill.

Every site, every bill

Sites with batteries and solar

See what your battery and solar should be saving on your tariff, and what a different schedule or battery size would have saved.

Coming next

From checked bills to a virtual power plant

The meter data and tariffs you verify today are what flexible assets are scheduled against tomorrow. TradeFlux is built to grow in that order.

  1. MeasureAvailable now

Half-hourly meter data and tariffs, already checked for billing.

  2. Optimise each siteComing next

Find the battery and solar schedule that would have cut your bill on your tariff, then plan the next month with it.

  3. AggregateLater

Pool batteries, solar and flexible load across sites for licensed traders and aggregators as the wholesale market opens.

TradeFlux is software for licensed traders and aggregators. It does not trade or take ownership of electricity itself.

Sample virtual power plant portfolio pooling four sites into 0.94 MW of flexible capacity for peak shaving, TOU optimisation and demand response. On the roadmap.

Built in phases, with the people who use it

Founding members shape each phase before it ships, and the order follows what they need most.

  1. Now

    Bill and statement verification

    • Meter data import from CSV and Excel
    • Eskom and custom tariffs with TOU schedules
    • Expected charges per TOU period
    • Statement comparison with flagged differences
  2. Next

    Allocation and optimisation

    • Wheeling allocation to many offtakers
    • Battery optimisation against your tariff
    • Verification reports to send on
  3. Later

    Telemetry and VPP

    • Live data from inverters and meters
    • Curtailment logging and claims
    • Aggregation for licensed traders
